Thomas Francis Meagher - Sinn Fein Club

Hi, looking for information on the above organization.
Apparently my Gr Grandfather was president of the
Waterford branch, and was connected with it since
it's inception. Unsure of the exact dates, possibly
between, 1880 -1920. Like to hear from anyone, who
has researched this body, or can point me in the right
direction.

You could  write to the local history room at Waterford City Library, Lady Lane, Waterford City for information.They have a newspaper index for the years 1884 to 1948, there might be some mentions of your great grandfather in it.

Thank you Vasaborg.
I have written to the library before, but on a different subject, however
will do so again as I plan to visit the library a week tomorrow.
Hopefully the newspaper index's will also reveal other information, as his
obituary is quiet an eye opener, with mentions of him been an internee in
Ballybricken gaol, and later in Kilworth, Co Cork, which if true, would put
his age around the mid -60s when interned !
