Hi
Have you searched the partially transcribed index on freebmd?
http://freebmd.rootsweb.com
She may have died after the period covered by freebmd http://freebmd.rootsweb.com/progressD.shtml in which case you will need to search the full GRO index which is available at your nearest main library if you live in the UK. It can also be searched online if you have an Ancestry subscription or at www.findmypast.com which is a paysite
You will need to download each image for each quarter of every year searched and check for a death.
It can be extremely time consuming unless you can narrow it down.
Was she the informant on her husbands death cert - at least you would know she was still alive then and only have to search from there onwards

She could have died after him - so you will need to search the full GRO index as shown above

At that time St Neots was Hunts! It was only in 1974 that Hunts was taken over by Cambs
You only had to cross the bridge over the river at St Neots and you were in Beds

Eaton Socon was in St Neots registration district, and St Neots Union Workhouse was in Eaton Socon! What that's got to do with the price of bananas I'm not sure, but it's another snippet of useless information to add to the collection

Eaton Socon was in Beds until 1965 when it moved to Hunts, but St Neots was always in Hunts before it got swallowed up into Cambs in 1974

SO - are you saying that a death in St Neots prior to 1974 would have come under Huntingdonshire?
Should this post be moved to the Hunts board?

As the last known address seems to have been Eaton Socon Beds I would leave it where it is.
