Hi there
This is Thomas in 1881 at the Vicarage, Llangyby
Revd William Evans, 54, head , clerk in holy orders (clergyman) Anne, 55, wife, clergyman's wife Harriet Johns, 16, niece, visitor Thomas Davies, 20, servant, fram servant indoor, b Lllanwenog Elizabeth Evans, 16, servant, domestic servant
So far I have found 1 Thomas Davies in LLanwenog with father shown as James in 1861 so this may not be your Thomas - age is a couple of years out if you know he was born in 1861 (then again census ages aren't always accurate).
Rhiwsoneucha, LLanwenog
James Davies head, 46, landowner and farmer of 71 acres, b LLanarth Mary wife , 46, farmers wife, b Llanarth David son, 19, farmers son b Llanwenog Eleanor, daughter, 16, farmers daughter b Llanwenog Mary daughter, 14, svcholar, b Llanwenog Hannah daughter, 11, scholar, b LLanwenog Margret daughter, 10, scholar, b Llanwenog Thomas son age 8, scholar, b Llanwenog Rachel daughter, 6, b Llanwenog Elizabeth Davies, widow, 74, farmers mother b Llanarth Sarah Thomas, servant, 16, general servant, b Lampeter
I checked for this James & Mary Davies in 1861, they were living with James' parents in Llanwenog with 6 of their children, no Thomas though. If you think this is the right family I will get the full details for you.
All the best
Shirl

Right, 1871 possibles living in Llanwenog with a birthplace of Llanwenog 1861 +/- 3, will have a look when I can for birthplace of Llandysul

Tynewyn, Llanwnog

I put this one in as there are 2 sons named Thomas just in case one might be daughter Margaret's son!
If any of those could be possibles, let me know, will have a good dig round early next week, not having any luck with James Rhees either at the moment although there are a couple of Rees possibles . Will keep you posted if I find anything worth looking up .

Hello Shirl, Thanks again for looking, when I saw the first lot on your reply, the Brynhawe one, the date of Thomas` birth would be the closest of them all but, the Margaret Davies one at TYNEWYN, Margaret Davies unmarried, I think that all those might be her children as her mother would be too old at 66yrs with the youngest being 3yrs, in 1901 Thomas has 6 children, ESTHER ANN, Ann being after ROSINAS`( his wife) mother TOM SAMUEL, Tom after his father THOMAS and Margaret, could this be a clue, THomas Davies MUM because they seemed to carry names along the generations didn`t they? or do you think its just wishfull thinking??? Marg,,

Marg,, Could be wishful thinking, but it was very common to carry on the family christian names, so you may well have a clue there, proving it might take a while longer of course!Good luck
