Hi Doozer

Looks like you are looking to fill in the blanks  Smiley The only realistic way of doing this is to go up a generation at a time, verifying the information and names stage by stage.

There is for example only one marriage showing between a Robert Fal*ner and a Margaret Smith in Scotland and that was in 1911. The certificate is available to view on line at www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk. Scottish certificates are very comprehensive and will include for example, both parents' names including mothers' maiden names.

If you haven't researched this way before, have a look at these guides here on RC:

Where to start with Scottish Research www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php/topic,24468.0.html
Optimise Scotlandspeople searches www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php/topic,43916.0.html

I would take care here on RC regarding posting details of living people. You might want to go back and edit the McKay details before the copyright editor comes along  Roll Eyes (just click on the 'modify' button on your post to let you edit your post and then click save)

Added: Thanks Carol  Smiley So happens that 1911 marriage was in Renfrewshire so looks v. likely!
