Elm parish burials 1806/7 - William Pope
« on: Saturday 13 June 09 13:29 UTC (UK) »

Can anyone help me with a look up request for the parish of Elm please?  Find My Past and the CFHS database both give 2 entries for burials of William Pope in Elm:

William Pope - date of burial 1806
William Pope - date of burial 1807

The CFHS database has an asterisk (*) against both entries to indicate that additional information has been recorded.

Can anyone fill in the details, including date of burial, for me please?

Thanks for your help.

If the Cambs FHS burial index doesn't show an age then there won't be a date of birth. The extra detail is likely to be an occupation. eg ag lab

Thanks for your reply, Bedfordshire Boy.  I just realised where you're coming from but I meant date of burial, not date of birth.  Whoops!  I've amended the original to make it clear.

I appreciate that the additional information will be something like occupation but that, together the dates of burial, could very well give me the information I need - provided that the occupation is more than just "labourer"!

Not sure that the exact burial dates will help a lot if ages aren't shown. A William Pope, son of William and Mary Pope was baptised in Elm on 17 Aug 1773. So was it father and son who were buried in 1806 and 1807?
