Topic: unable to access Illinois BMD site (Read 339 times)

For the past several years I haven't been able to access the below site using either Firefox or various versions of IE.
I have tried on 4 different computers, including the one with which I was in the past able to access the site. (I just tried again 10 mins ago with the orginial computer)
From what I have seen in various family history sites, Dick Eastman's Newspaper and various comments in same, this site still exists, one member of this board in the past 24 hrs has confirmed to me that she is able to access this site and uses Firefox to do so. No operating system mentioned.
I use Firefox with Windows xp
I'm in Australia, service provider is Optus, whom I called in the past few days to see if they may be blocking this site, I was told no.

Am able to access it just fine - I'm in South Africa and use my cellular network's 3G (MTN, if you need to look it up) as my SP...
Also using FireFox with XP - have you tried using another PC with the same SP (ie on a friend's PC?)

Excellent idea, I have several family members who go online, not only with Optus I think. Dunno why I never thought of it. It's quite possible that the site was available to me with a different isp back then.
Will see how they go over the next few days.

Just finish a call with Optus, the operator I spoke with has conferred with 2 Technicians, one whom he called the Head Technician.
The Head Technician's response is that the site www.cyberdriveillinois.com does not exists. 
I stressed that the site was available, so they are going to investigate futher and get back to me.

Looks like I have located another site I cannot access through Optus.
On this one I get this error,

Nick, I may well have a good look at that site you mentioned.
I have been using the proxy site as suppied by Alan which is working more or less fine for both sites.
