I can only find their marriage in Tipton in 1833 on IGI; there are at least two Nancy Partridges' baptisms that could apply and none so far as I know for a potential Thomas; and their children appear not to have been baptised, including my great-great-grandfather William Harper, born in 1834-ish (their oldest). If they kept to the traditional naming patterns, then Thomas's father may have been William Harper and Nancy's mother, Mary Partridge, nee unknown. They were anything but prosperous (rented housing, shifting from house to house, children beginning work at around 8 years old) working in a dying trade and illiterate.
