I am looking for the ancestors of Mary Ann Hathaway/Attaway. She married Samuel Rainbow in Toddington, Bedfordshire, on October 17, 1831, where her name is given as Hathaway, but was christened  at Edlesborough on October 27, 1811 as the daughter of Abraham Attaway and Sarah.

I have found several records of Abraham Attaways in Tring. There are legal notices in the National Archives that mention the name in 1700 and 1745. Parish record transcriptions indicate an Abraham christened in 1778, which would make him an appropriate age to be Mary Ann's father - and whose father and grandfather also had the name Abraham, making one of them the probable brother of Isaac in the 1745 will. Can anyone suggest sources from which it may be possible to determine if this is a likely connection?
