With the parents' names showing on Duncan's death cert., there are these entries showing on IGI, actual extract from the OPRs:
1. JOHN MACGREGOR Christening: 12 OCT 1812 Dull, Perth 2. DUN. MACGREGOR Christening: 06 MAR 1815 Dull, Perth
You may find more on the OPR index on Scotlands People.

Hi Suz
These two christening entries are actual extract. Mother shows as Cath. MacPherson which is the way you would have to search the SP OPR index. Similarly, Duncan looks to have been indexed as Dunc. MacGregor.
The fact that only two children show to them on the OPR would make me think that you are missing a number of siblings and parents' marriage. Maybe they married in a different parish (as showing on the IGI submitted entry) and had the early children there. As you know, OPRs are never complete, many have been lost or destroyed over the years. Sometimes it is just pages within a Register that have been lost.

The information on SP is the real stuff!
With IGI you do have to be careful with the records you are looking at. However, on each IGI entry you will see whether the entry is an actual extract from the OPRs or a member submitted entry (which you have to verify elsewhere as these can be inaccurate).
The two christening entries showing as actual extract on IGI do show on SP, but there are no other birth/christening entries as you have found. The marriage entry which shows on IGI as submitted I cannot see at all on SP so no idea how this has been sourced unfortunately.
