« on: Friday 29 May 09 16:52 UTC (UK) »

Hi

Looking for information on an Italian male singer that visited Middlesbrough or surrounding area in around 1937.
I believe he was on tour. may have been an opera singer, but not sure.

Hope someone can help

There were dozens of visiting Artistes at that time so it is like looking for a needle in a haystack without more information.  The Town Hall hosted concerts but there were other venues too.    Was he a Music Hall or Classical singer?

Thank you DiddyMiller and Sillgen for your help

A late friend of mine was born in 1938 in Middlesbrough. He had musical talent.

I believe the father was an Opera singer visiting the North East at that time.

Trying to trace his possible father for his children.

Don't hold out a lot of hope, at the best may end up with a few possibilities.

Regards
