Desparate HELP! DAVENPORT FAMILY

Hi
This is a family I have been having dead ends for over 5 years this is the most frustrating thing because everyone who knew anything has now died.

Dont know whats available I am looking for a man I believe was born as John Henry Vincent Davenport (but went by Henry Vincent when he lived in London, and the family descended as VINCENT) the Davenports how can I find any information?  The story goes he wasd born about 1850/1 so I know there are no records!  To a very rich family who gave a large sum of money to a church at one point, dont know whether I could find that out.  I dont know anything about his parents and there's nothing in recordsa about Rosslare where my grandmother swears he was born.  What other records might be available?

I would appreciate any info however small it might seem

You could try http://freebmd.rootsweb.com/cgi/search.pl and also http://www.familysearch.org/   Let me know how you get on. Smiley
