David Hatt of Hartley Wintney/Heckfield
« on: Saturday 30 May 09 19:39 UTC (UK) »

Hi,

David Hatt married Hannah Hoar in Heckfield in 1842, I have the certificate.  I have the family in the censuses 1851,61,71 (James as 11m Grandson),81,91 and David in 1901 (as grandfather to James Hatt B1871)

I was confident that I sent for noth death certs that looked right

Hannah Hatt D 23/6/1895 age 78 widow of David Hatt
David Hatt D 11/9/1906 age 83 Whinchfield Workhouse

I am confused!! Hannahs death cert would suggest that David predeceased her!

Can Rootschatters help?

Thanks
