« on: Sunday 31 May 09 08:23 BST (UK) »

Can someone please help me with Ann McCall born after the 1901 census, could have been in Nairn or Berwickshire.  She married Alec Battison.

Thanks

Hi Lorraine

Unfortunately, the 1911 Scottish census is not due to be released until late March 1911 (full 100 yr disclosure period).

Hi Lorraine

Do you have their marriage cert? There is only one marriage showing on www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk for Ann McCall and Alex Battison. (Alex not Alec)

It's in 1925 in Cleish Kinross. You should get her parents names from this.

Best wishes

Many thanks to both of you.

Jean,  I suspect she may be a sister of my grandfather's, in which case her parents were James McCall and Christina Ness. I will investigate further as you suggest.
