The Liddington family of Long Whatton.

Joseph Liddington married Florence Jones and they settled & lived in Long Whatton for many years having two daughters born there....Anita May baptised 09/07/1950  &  Carol Ann baptised 06/02/1955.
Joseph died in 1978 aged 52 & his ashes were scattered at All Saints Church in Long Whatton.
It is thought that Florence & the girls moved away from Long Whatton after the death of Joseph, possibly to the Knightthorpe area of Loughborough.
If anyone can help me to learn more about these ancestors I would be very grateful please.
As these ancestors may still be living, any contact should be by private messages please.
I would dearly love to learn more about the Liddington family to extend the knowledge of my family tree.

quick look in the local telephone directory gives no liddingtons living in loughborough now.

I live right next door to Thorpe acre (Knightthorpe road) area of L'boro. will be in library wed and can have a look in local records.

treefan - any idea who the Liddington girls might have married - that would give us a lead?

also from the Long Whatton burial index 1813 - 2000:

Liddingtons:
Adelaide Etty Selina of Shardlow manor  29/5/1992 age 94 late of LW.

Joseph edward , Long Whatton 10/5/1940 age 39

Joseph edward , 20 the green, LW  292/12/1978 age 52
ashes in G 0f R  3/1/1979

G of R? not given in front of book. Grave of Relative? maybe?

no Liddingtons in the loughborough cemetery index.

I think that you have got the right info there as I believe that Joseph did come from Shardlow originally.
