In Family History, you can't presume anything as this can lead you down the wrong path.
Easton would be a good place to start for finding a baptism for Jesse.

Just to add to Sue's findings
White's 1844 - Wickham Market Market Hill Blacksmith Jesse Hill.
He is also noted as being a parish clerk and a whitesmith.
Also David Hill on Market Hill as a cabinet maker.

William White published gazeteers and directories for many counties.
Suffolk is by Hundred, then by towns and villages within the hundred. It lists only gentry and then trades and professions.
Our blacksmiths were trading in Framlingham at the same time - they were often parish clerks and overseers/guardians of the parish, Respected people in the community.
Whitesmith - could also fashion silver as well as make all the usual horseshoes and iron work. We have some family ledgers from the early 1800s showing the day to day trading of a blacksmith.
I have an original White's leather bound, hand stitched 1855 edition for Suffolk bought for my birthday in 1972, it has recently been re-stitched and that cost a great deal more than the original GBP5.00
I also have an 1844 reprint (pub by David and Charles in 1970).
They can be found on CD-Rom now and there is an original from 1844 on a well known Auction web site for about GBP 149.00 - which seems about right price for them today.

I'm not sure what a 'whitesmith' is. A whitesmith was a tinsmith.

I have just got the Easton parish registers and this is what I have found so far (still working through them)
Jesse Hills sn of John and Sarah Hills bap 7 Nov 1784 Maria Hills of John and Sarah Hills dr bap 7 Jan 1787 James Hill sn John and Sarah Hill, late Beecroft bap 26 Feb 1790 Sarah Hill dr John and Sarah Hill, late Beecroft bap 7 Mar 1793 Jarrold Hill, sn John and Sarah Hill, late Beecroft bap 27 Sep 1794 John Hill sn John and Sarah Hill, late Beecroft bap 19 Aug 1798 buried 19 Dec 1798 David Hill sn John and Sarah Hill, late Beecroft bap 29 May 1802 Poussin Hill sn John and Sarah Hill, late Beecroft bap 5 May 1805 (found him later as Posseen!)
I also have a marriage at Easton: John Hill single man and Sarah Beecroft single woman both of this parish, married by banns, 2 Sep 1784.
There are other Hill items which I have not fitted in yet. John and Sarah were buried at Wickham Market. There is a gravestone which reads: John Hill 18 Nov 1834 age 77 Sarah his wife 25 Mar 1838 age 76 John Hill their grandson 18 Jun 1838 age 7 Geor Hill Stanton 11 Mar 184... age 7 wks
Haven't tracked down John Hill the grandson yet (too many John Hills) but George Hill Stanton is a great grandchild.
I'll let you know if I find any more in the Easton registers.
Kevin
