Hi Silvercloud

Would you be so kind to have a look for any Ruddick baptisms or burials at Wreay during the 1830s.

From IGI, I have one baptism for George Ruddick on 07.02.1836 - I'd br grateful to know if there is anymore information regarding his parents in the entry.

I hope you can help - I live in Spain and access to records is restricted to my infrequent trips to the UK

Many thanks

Sorry for the slight delay in replying - thankyou ever so much for that lookup.

George was the brother of my 3xgt grandfather and your info has confirmed what I found on the IGI - I had hoped that perhaps his mother's maiden name was mentioned, but knew it was a long shot when I asked.  May have to dig deep and buy a certificate for one of the younger children.
It also seems to show that there were no other significant family events while they were living at Wreay, which means they weren't in the village for long.

Again, thankyou very much for taking the time to look for me, I'm very grateful
