1871 Census Mystery - Help Please
« on: Monday 01 June 09 11:08 UTC (UK) »

Hi

From Free BMD I have the marriage of a Susannah GEE Mar Q 1866 Aston 6d/275.

I am hoping a kind soul may give me an idea of whether she married John S Drake or Henry Hawtin please from the 1871 census?

I am also looking in 1871 for Cecilia Elizabeth Phillips born Aston Sept Q 1869.

I am fairly sure that Susannah Gee was the mother of Cecilia but obviously there is a hiccup somewhere! Huh

The family had emigrated by 1881 so any assistance with 1871 or earlier would be much appreciated.
Many tas

Indeed - I can't identify any of the 3 people we are looking for on the 1871 census! Tongue

Many thanks for looking Tati!
A Susannah Hawtins turns up in NZ (don't know when yet) and marries a Thomas Byers Matthews in 1885. I'm pretty sure that's the same Susannah!

So perhaps she left Mother England earlier than we thought if she is not on  the 1871.
Cheers
