The Acorn Public House, Aston.

I have just found out the name of the public house that my Grandparents run
in the early 1900's. Can any please let me know if this is still standing, also
is there any place that I could purchase any postcards of The Acorn.
Any information would really be appreciated.

The Picture you posted is of the Acorn in Winson Green.

There was a pub called the Acorn on Wheeler St, Lozells, which would have come under Aston (think it still does)

Unfortunately that whole area underwent clearance in the 1960's Apparently there were many pubs along this road.

There is also another Acorn pub on Garrison Lane (Close to Birmingham City FC) , I am unsure if this would have come under Aston at the  turn of the century.

Sorry unable to find any images. I do know there are a few books  out with images of old pubs in Aston and Birmingham generally

There was and I think still is (though have not been back since 1991) an Acorn Public House in Erdington on the High Street, that would be under Aston. The pubs in Erdington are the Cross Keys, the Lyndhurst built in the 1950's on the new estate, the Acorn, Rose and Crown and the Swan. Hmm must have had a mispent youth ;-)
