On the Scotland 1841 C the occupation of Mary Rennie b 1771, 70yrs, at Peathill Pitsligo, Aberdeenshire is given as 'Dead Demb Franper'.
Can anyone tell me what that might be?

I think that is the transcriber's interpretation. It actually says 'deaf &  dumb pauper' *
