William Owen SALUSBURY-TRELAWNY
« on: Monday 01 June 09 18:32 UTC (UK) »

William Owen Salusbury-Trelawny was buried at St Andrew's Calstock on Nov.27 1831 aged 2 weeks old.
I would like to know if the record shows who his parents were, was the little lad baptised before he died.
In 1830 an Owen William Salusbury-Trelawny was also buried at St Andrews age 21. It would seem to me that the little lad was named in memory of his dead relation perhaps even a brother??
Many thanks if you can help

Thank you. It certainly looks like it--- baptised 10 Dec1831, yet The National Burial index gave his burial as 27th Nov. 1831-- does his death appear in the Parish register?

Thanks again for looking. Perhaps the baptism should read 10 Nov & it would then fit nicely.

Hi

IGI has

extracted;
Owen William TRELAWNY s/o William Lewis Trelawny and Patience
chr; 10 june 1808 Pelynt Cornwall

submitted:
Owen William Salusbury Trelawny
s/o Sir William Lewis Salusbury Trelawny and
      Patience Christian Carpenter
chr; 8 July 1808 ...different month than Extracted entry
died; 21 Jan 1830

So it appears he was the older brother.

IGI has the births of all the children except that of William who died at 2 weeks .

There are also a lot of documents on The National Archives
