Epworth / Isle of Axholme - about 1600
« on: Wednesday 03 June 09 20:14 UTC (UK) »

I believe that my Thompson ancestor came to what is now Northern Ireland about 1600 and may have been one of the six carpenters, one mason, one tailor and six workmen that John Brownlow, a former Mayor of Nottingham and his son William, later Sir William Brownlow, took with them from their local village when they became Undertakers in the Plantation of Ulster.

John and William Brownlow lived in Epworth [ Epworth Manor ?] in the Isle of Axholme.

How would I find out the names of the workers which they took to Ireland ?
