Hi Colin, I was only able to find the following marriage in Marlborough PRs for that time.........
Marriage Marlborough St Peters day unclear possibly 15, month unclear, 1836 James Perkins, otp and Sarah Elizabeth Foster, otp, banns, witnesses ?? Lamprey and John Foster.
Writing very akin to to a tipsy spider wandering over the paper with faint ink on its feet!!!

Many thanks for your reply, and valiant efforts.
I am sure of William's name, and his wife is Elizabeth (nee possibly Preston or Gentley).
Have also experienced that 'spidery' writing on some of the records held at Taunton Records Office, although I noted vast improvements from 1812 onwards!
