George Mathieson/Matthieson

Looking for information on George Mathieson/Matthieson, b. 13 Jan 1874 to William M. and his wife Mary Gardiner.  George is 17 and an apprentice woolen spinner in the 1891 census [41 Forest rd., Selkirk, Selkirk] and I can't find him after that.  His only remaining siblings (that I'm sure of) in the 1891 census are: Mary, age 12 and Agnes, age 9.
Will post later with more questions about this family, but George is my brick wall at the moment.
