Leintwardine was at one time classed as being in Shropshire, my mother was born there in 1918 on the side of the road she told me.

Hi sorry did not give any surname as i believed you were searching for Ballard connections my mother was a Gertrude Bishop ( mothers maiden name as Gran did not marry mister Alfred jones even though they had ten children, Alfred is still a mystery to me)

No i have not visited Leintwardine ( dont drive im afraid) but i only live in Leominster which is not too far away where all the family ended up living in the 1940's

Yea,I drank a few pints the "The Lion" the food is good to!! I caught a fish in the river to boot!! My parents live at "Church House"on the main high st. I spent most of my childhood in the area,its a beautiful and tranquil place,I feel extremely blessed to have done so! Cheers,Patrick Campbell

Hello, saw your message and thought i`d try a long shot, in 1897 a William Brown married a Edith Martha Farmer at the parish church of Leintwardine, i wonder have you come across the pair in your research ?
