I'm on the hunt for:
Thomas Thompson Born between 1822 and 1825 I have on his death certificate it listed at 1822 and 1825 based on his age at date of marriage. He married Nancy A. Andrew 2 October 1852 in Ahoghill. I have found one son, Henry, born 1870. His mother is listed as Agnes Andrew. They had 8 children in total. Henry being the second youngest. Ann, John, Thomas, James, Andrew, Elizabeth, Henry and Sarah Jane.
Thomas' father is listed as John Thompson.
Any information would be great!

I've heard a mention of Connor before from another family member. I'm not familiar with any children named Adam, but it could be that they didn't come to Canada with the rest of the family. How far is Connor from Ahoghill?

Aislynn,
Keeping in mind kingskerswell's Connor finds earlier, I came across the following birth which ties with your family:
John Thompson date of birth 21st Aug 1856 date of baptism 3rd Nov 1856 Son of Thomas Thompson and Nancy Andrew of G___gad?
this seems to be noted by UHF as having taken place at Kells presbyterian church, which is adjacent to Connor, however Kells church wasn't established until 1874, so perhaps it was also a Connor baptism. The find was made by UHF in a report commissioned by another Thompson researcher. You may find the report of interest - google for
timfogarty.users.btopenworld.com/.../BailliesofBallymena.doc
as the chap was researching Baillies and Thompsons.

Aislynn...to help you picture the areas in relation to each other...go to this ordnance survey map:
http://www.rootschat.com/links/0739/
for ease, Kells is highlighted with a red circle. If you grab and pan around the map (left a bit and up), looking very carefully at names in pale grey writing in background, you should be able to make out the old townlands of Carna(u)ghts, Cru(o)mkill, Sla(g)tt etc and see how close they actually are.
