 Is there any way we can find out the names of the governors of Glasgow prison. Im looking around the 19300- 1940 times  thanks

Perhaps your first approach should be to the Scottish Prison Service (SPS):

In the time period specified there were two prisons in Glasgow - Barlinnie (still in operation) and the North prison (Duke Street Prison) which closed in 1955.

thanks I tried the Barlinni prison but couldnd find out the names of all the governors they said there were 20 but I only found 2 names

Yes, the website refers to 20 Governors but only mentions two by name, but did you actually contact SPS for the other names?
