And how are you so certain of William's p.o.b.? Do you have him on any census??

According to the 1851 and 1861 Census Mark Jackson was bc.1808 Normanby, Lincolnshire.

How have you found William? I see several William's in Lincolnshire (and there is no guarantee he was living there) of an appropiate age to have fathered a child in 1808 - so what extra info have you got that indicates which is MArk's father? If you have other info, then that could well lead you to find his wife (marks mother) and other children. If you have no other info, then beware of following the wrong guy.
