Hi Purpeller,
William Carson was born around 1824. He was married in Eastwood, Renfrewshire, Scotland in 1843. Hence, he must have moved between the two dates. Both his parents died in Glasgow so I assume they came to Scotland as a family group when he was a boy. Other than that I am lost. The only other information relating to Ireland was that his mother, Margaret, was born in the County of Down.
Any help or advice would be gratefully accepted, regards, Bullywee

Densavage, Please accept my apologies for not getting back to you sooner. Unfortunately, as yet, I cannot find any connection between our families.
I have a little more information that I hope may help.
I have a John Carson born around 1770. Unfortunately I do not know the name of his wife. They had a son James born around 1793 who married an Elizabeth Houston born around 1786. They in turn had three children, William b.1824, Jane b.1828 and Harriet b.1833.
I believe, although not certain, that all the above people were Presbyterian born in County Down. However, I have no idea in which parish. Hence, the reason I have come to a standstill in my Carson line.
I would be appreciative of any guidance that anyone is able to give. Thank you Bullywee
