I have been trying to find the Will of John L. Freeman who died in 1849 at East Hook Hall Haverfordwest. Pembrokeshire Record Office suggested I looked for an Administration--- can anyone tell me how I do this please. Vesta

wills and admins before 1858 should be at the National Library of Wales
http://www.llgc.org.uk/index.php?id=487
unless he held property in more than one diocese and it could be in the National Archives
http://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/
I'm not finding any trace at either, but that could just be me having a bad day.
Some more info here

Hi Vesta. I am also researching John Freeman and his wife Sophia Trelawny.
The National Library of Wales has wills for James Freeman, gentleman and widower, of Tenby, dated 1849 (http://hdl.handle.net/10107/499650) and also for David Freeman of Crickmail, Bosherston, Pembroke, gent., dated 1855. The latter appears to be John Freeman's brother; he is mentioned (as an uncle) in the will of Henry Trelawny Freeman, only son of John and Sophia, which is held in the National Archives at Kew.
There are several wills of Freemans from Bosherston e.g. John Freeman, 1689, John Freeman, 1701, Ann Freeman, 1702. These could well be ancestors of 'our' John Freeman.
yours Robin

Hello again. You may have already come across the transcription of the Boshershton baptisms online at http://www.revjones.fsnet.co.uk/stackgrpreg/bobap.htm
Included is John Freeman, baptized 1 Jan 1772, parent John Freeman, and David Freeman, baptized 5 July 1778, parents John and Rebekah Freeman. Various other children of John and Rebecca/Rebekah are listed. A Rebecca Freeman was buried at Bosherston on 13 May 1832 aged 98 and a John Freeman was buried there on 14 Dec 1807 aged 78; could be 'our' John's parents?
