I'm trying to find census and/or birth of John Daw CA 1835 father possibly William.  John married Grace Body in Liskeard in 1854 and sailed straight away to Aust.  On his death cert. mentions birth as Devon and a 2nd marriage cert. says birth Cornwall.  I have a possibility of an 1851 census record in Southhill but don't know how to confirm this as him and family.

If anyone can offer help would be much appreciated.

Hi Julie

I know this isn't of much help.  But Grace Body is in exactly the same census area on the 1851.  I reckon you have the right John on the 1851.

Grace is   folio 252 Pg 8
