I am trying to find her parents and hoped for a Baptism look up please?

That would be Fernham, I think - it's in the Vale of the White Horse between Uffington and Faringdon.

Can't help with a look-up at the moment, but someone may be along who has the OFHS CD which includes it.

Nigel,

This is rather a  late reply but Ive' got the Fernham PRs on one of my discs from the OFHS and sorry to say they only start from 1860.

Prior to that Fernham was "a Chapel of Ease under Longcot"

Going further the IGI has a "Betse Diks baptised 23-4-1780 Longcot dau of James Diks & Ann"
there are also two other children baptised; Marrian 10-5-1778 and John baptised 17-3-1782
to the same parents.

I also looked but couldn't find a marriage for James & Ann

Nigel,

The marriage of Henry Stimson to Elizabeth Dix in Marcham on 21-10-1802 is on the IGI
as an "extracted" marriage entry so you can be reasonably assured that it is correct. My copy of the PRs from OFHS only list marriages to 1754.

It looks like Henry Stimson was baptised 4-10-1778 the son of Richard, & Elizabeth.

Purely as a matter of interest there is another Henry Stimson bapt.4-10-1793 Marcham son of Jane Butler.

You may already have all this info so apologise for any duplication.

Nigel,

Just come upon James & Ann's marriage details from the IGI;

James Dickes to Anne Ridley,  married  6-11-1774, Uffington, Berks

As I have a copy of the Uffington PRs their entry is as follows;
Nov 6 1774  Dicks x James, Shellingford, Berks to
                    Ridley x Anne, o.t.p.
wits; John x Prior, Elizabeth X Garrard

I couldn't find Anne's baptism in the Uffingtopn PRs. Nor can I see James Dicks
bapt. in the Shellingford records.

Hope this helps

Just to complete the picture here are some more baptisms of  children of James & Anne
taken from   Shellingford PRs;
15-4-1787        Mary     dau of James & Ann
27-12-1789      Mary       "    "     "           "
28-10-1792      Anne       "    "     "           "
12-6-1796        William  son  "     "          "

They obviously moved from Longcot to Shellingford
