Hi can anyone locate the 1851 census household information for James Gilchrist b abt1847 Darton/ Barnsley.
Also the 1841 information for his parents.

No immediate finding on 1851

What else do you know about him?
Have you got him on later censuses?
Have you got a fathers name from a marriage cert?

By 1861 James was living in Bishop  Auckland Co Durham.
Father John Gilchrist b abt 1820  Ireland (Shoemaker)
Mother Charlotte b abt1819 Darton
brother William J Gilchrist b abt1853 Bradford

Has a 34 year old James (labourer) and 32 yr old Charlotte both born Ireland and both lodging (with lots of others) in the Household of a Flanagan family in Thompson Alley, Bradford.
No sign of a little James though.

Have you seen him with his parents and brother together somewhere to be sure of his parents?

James GILCRIST c1848 Denton, Yorks, with parents John and Charlott, and brother William.
