i am trying to find the family of daisy dewis ,in the 1911 census she is( a neice )living with alfred and lilian dewis in wards cottage hartshill near atherstone.she is 11 and born in market bosworth leicestershire. Huh

there is a Daisy Dewis born 1900 age 11 in Atherstone, warwickshire on the 1911. you will need to buy credits to see record.

freebmd, with the phonetic search on, has:

Daisy Dawes born june 1900 leicester 7a / 186

would need to check on the 1901 census see what she is listed under.

Can't find a Daisy Dewis - if you got her marriage certificate she would have her fathers name and occupation on there. Do you know if or when she married?

there are a lot of Dewis in hartshill, atherstone on the 1911. there is also a family tree on A* for dewis family of Alfred. he had 2 brothers Richard b 1872 and Charles Harry b 1875  daisy would have to be child of one of these if tree correct. (no further family given)

A* also give Daisy dawes birth. think it could be her and transcription error.

Do you know any more about Daisy? siblings, partner etc? Could Daisy have been a 'family name'

If it says she's their niece in 1911 she is unlikely to be their daughter.
