I am researching Samuel Davis and Mary Lear who married in Bitton in 1833.
Would appreciate finding information from anyone about this couple.

Welcome to Rootschat 
Could you please explain how you came back to this couple in your Tree and children born to them please.
There is a baptism of a Mary Lear on IGI but need arough date of birth to establish if she is the one that married Samuel 1833.
The marriage is on The IGI but is submitted, so to be treated with caution.
Rootschatters are extremely helpful but we need a little extra info to establish the right connection.

Hi Trish.
My gt,gt,grandmother was Emily Davis borm to a Samuel Davis and Mary Lear in Bristol in 1843. I have been led to believe that the family is shown on the 1851 Parish of St George in Bristol.
Samuel is 36,a shoemaker and Mary 35.
Their children are, Samuel 11, John 9, Caroline 6, Emily 4 and George 2.
There is quite a gap between their marriage and their first child which makes me wonder a little as to whether I have the correct people?

I will have to follow them thru censuses, by 1851 older children could be away working.
Will get back with findings later.

All is well got them in 1841 and a Lear is living with them
1841 Census
Two Mile Hill,St George,Gloustershire
HO107/377/10/St George
Saml DAVIS, 27, cordwainer
Mary, 26
Sarah, 6
Sam, 1
Sophia LEAR, 30
All born in county
So Sarah aged 6 could have been away from home by 1851 census. Samuel is a cordwainer but a change to shoemaker by 1851 is not improbable.
The clincher is Sophia Lear living with them and is probably Marys sister.
So marriage 1833 looks good 
Presume you have confirmed parents names from Emilys birth/marriage cert??
