I am hoping some of you clever people can help me please.........I have found a great great grandfather who died in 1918 aged 79.  His name was Robert Colquhoun.  He was born in Durham, but lived a large chunk of his adult life in Newcastle upon Tyne.  He died in Heaton.  On his death notice in the Evening Chronicle, it finished by asking his friends and colleagues from the Northumberland Veterans Association to attend his funeral.  Obviously, this is a war related association.  I have not been able to find anything out about them in books or on the internet.  I am assuming someone out there must know about it.  I am really really hoping to find a photograph of Robert eventually.  If anyone knows anything, could you please please point me in the right direction?Huh
