Hi Folks, I'm trying to gather info on my Gr/grandfather Phillip George Winzer bc.1850 in Dorsetshire.

He apparently married Mary Jane Paull (bc. 1852 Cornwall) in Dorsetshire in 1870, and emigrated to South Australia, year unknown

They had 9 or 10 children including my grandfather Archie Lester Winzer b 4-9-1890 in Broken Hill South Australia.

On his birth certificate it mentions the other children 3 boys and 1 girl living and 3 boys and 2 girls deceased. How many of them were born in Aust. is unknown.

No sign of the marriage of Freebmd. Can you confirm the date & Place by certificate?

I have Philip Winsor in my tree his daughter Charlotte married my greatgreatgrandfather in SA.

Wimbush. Archie Lester Winzer had a brother Phillip b1874 who married Annie Mary Whiting Hutton and (I think) lived in Western Australia is this the same Phillip as yours?

Yes Krisisjoint I'm afraid I did duplicate posts just in case I failed here under the father's name. I hope that wasnt against the rules?

Perhaps I should continue this in the Cornwall Board

Charlotte Anne Winzer was born 1846 in Dorset she is Phillip George Winzer  1848 sister, she married my ggrandfather Robert Henry Griffiths in SA 1864.

I notice that Philip George's parents were Philip and Elizabeth..........I am just wondering if Philip George could have been George Philip? also was His Father Philip born in 1811 in England.
I am trying to find the connection to my Winzer's.

Also the spelling of Winzer varies greatly in the records from Winzar, Winsor,Winser.

all the records i find he is listed as philip george winzer, but the birth of his child Mary in 1872 he was listed as George. I have his father born about 1812 england.
