I can't find any Smiths birth reg Sheffield Dec qtr 1913-mar qtr 1914 with same mother's maiden name??

Do you know of any siblings of george??

Did he have a middle name???

Do you have his marriage cert - that may give further clues??? Witnesses etc

How certain are you that he was b Sheffield???

After 1911 the mother's maiden name is shown in the index so if you find your George's birth registration you should know it.   His death certificate should give place of birth with luck.  Maybe the twin was stillborn - have you searched the deaths?
