I am trying to find as much as I can about the warwick family from canonbie.around 1900.
They were in the 1901 census but by 1911 there is no trace of any members still in canonbie. in 1901 there was. James, andrew, joseph, isabella, and sarah. and mother Elizabeth (sinclair) and father Joseph
I wonfdered if they moved over the border?
Can anyone help?

Hi David,
welcome to rootschat.
If you can give us as much info as possible then loads of people will have a go at helping.
I have just googled Canonbie and it is a small villiage in  Dumfrieshire .
6 miles south of Langholm and 2 miles north of the border with England.
Is this the place that your ancestors come from?
If the Moderator could move this into the Dumfries page that would be fantastic.
kind regards,Billy.
ps, I have had a quick look in the IGI records
www.familysearch.org
there are a few Warwicks from Canonbie there.

Perhaps I'm being a bit thick here but when you say they were not present in 1911 how exactly do you know that?  The Scottish 1911 census has not been released yet.

Hi Imber,
We await David for the answer,
though he did not actually mention the 1911 census.
I am also curious to know the answer,
Kind regards,Billy.
