Ashford Cemetery - Canterbury Road - Thomas & Ella James

I'm based in Cornwall, & am unable to travel to Kent in the near future - if there is anyone in the Ashford area with some time on their hands I would be so grateful if they might be kind enough to locate the grave of my Great Great Uncle & Aunt in the old Ashford Cemetery, Canterbury Road, Ashford.  Thomas James died 1st June 1931.  Ella James died 26th May 1948.

If anyone could e mail me a photo of the grave, I'd be very grateful.

         I have been to Ashford cemetary and have a couple of photos for you. Only thing is, I am not sure how I go about sending them to you. Perhaps if you let me have an email address (in my messages), I can get one of my children to show me how to do them as an attachment, or something. If that fails, I will have them printed and post them to you.

re: Canterbury rd cemetery- Ashford Kent

I was just wondering if you might know who looks after the upkeep of the graves in the cemetery?

My husband's G-grandfather Henry Webb & daughters are buried there . My son went on a holiday to England in 1999 & went to the gravesite & there was no marker just a concrete rectangle with Henry's name on it. No grass in the middle just weeds & dirt.

I was quiet surprised to see it in the gravesite photo my son took.  Harry was a master baker for Thomas Winder bakery in Ashford for 40 yrs .

Hi James.

I have photographs of my Grand Father and Mothers grave in Ashford Road Cemetery if you are still interested? I also have BMD certificates photos Etc.. from the James side in Kent.
