Windsor / Eton Burials
« on: Wednesday 10 June 09 09:04 UTC (UK) »

I wonder If anyone can help with a burial query ?

My great grandfather died in 1936 in Edward VII Hospital in Windsor.  His home address was in Eton.

Would anyone have any idea where he may of been buried or where I could find out this information from ??

If he died in King Edward V11 Hospital he is likely to be buried at Windsor Cemetery St  Leonards Rd Spital Windsor SL4 3DB.This isa just down the road from KEV11.King EdwardsV11 was acottage hospital witha lovely frontage which thankfully they have kept in rebuilding. It is now outpatients etc
The burial can be checked at   outdoor.facilities@rbwm.gov.uk
If he is in Eton  it will probably be in a parish church--Eton or Eton Wick.
There is a very good local website where you may be able to post a query
http:theroyalwindsorforum.yuku.com/directory This is a very interesting site anyway.
I live in Windsor so please come back with any further queries.

You could try searching the local newspaper.
