Surname HANKSMAN GLS 18thC or earlier

Anyone out there got Hanksman early in their line?  If so, I'd be interested in hearing from you, especially if you have links to Gloucestershire and surrounding counties in the early 18th century and earlier.

My earliest is Alice  Hanksman bap 1706 in Elmstone Hardwicke GLS
Father: Daniel  Mother Alice.

I am intrigued to find the name is quite rare and as such I am thinking of starting a database for early instances of the surname in the UK.

Variants I have seen are:  Hankman, Hanckman, Haneksman, Henkesman - there may be others.
