Michael,

Not knowing what you may have researched already, I assume you've tried the usual--Griffith's Valuation, Tithe applotments.  Have you searched Failteromhat.com, Irish Family History Foundation? On the latter there are only 77  Lambe births in Kildare out of over 3000 Lambe entries in Ireland. so your task in Kildare is quite limited.

If you haven't you might search LDS index pilot search, Worldcat, google books and ancestry.
I see a "Mrs. Lamb" and the Duke of Leinster being members of the County Kildare archeological society in 1903 in its Journal on Google books.  Many other early manuscripts are retrieved with simple search "Lambe" and Kildare .

Forgive any duplication if you've searched these.
Thanks again for your Hannon Kildare help.

The Duke of Leinster placed adverts in Scottish newspapers in 1850/51 looking for "Scots settlers" to settle and work his lands.  Many of them settled in the Athy area (my ancestorsbeing one of those families).  I have some copies of the adverts on another PC and will try to locate them.  You might look into my previous posts on the subject on the Kildare site, also some posts on the Talbots/Torbets/Turbetts.  As far as I can determine most of the Scots came from the Edinburgh/Perth areas. The Scots Church in Athy was established by these settlers in the 1850's.

Hope this was of help.
