I took a look at the marriage entry in the Roos PRs this morning at the Record Office.
14 Feb 1809 George Capes of the parish of Cottingham, bachelor, age 27 [I think it says 27 but it was in very tiny handwriting so might have been 21] & Ann Bailey of this parish, spinster age 21[again, tiny writing, may have said 20]. Married by banns, he signed, she made her mark. Witnesses: Albert Stephenson, John Hodgson [the latter was a regular witness].
I hope some of that might help you get further.
