Hi,I am trying to find information on my Jacklin ancestors from Deenethorpe Northamptonshire. Thomas died 1785. wife. Susanah died 1761. children: Susanah b1757. Mary b1758. Thomas b1759 - d1829. wife. Mary Wells. William b1761. Thomas senior and son William were "keepers". Have hit a brick wall,so any info would be very welcome.

Thanks Billy Apparently the LDS are in the process of transferring all their microfiche data onto their web site, and hope to have it completed within seven years. Can someone tell me if "Benefield" is close to Deenethorpe ?

I am trying without much luck to find some information on "Deenethorpe Lodge" in Deenethorpe Northamptonshire. A Northhants court document dated 1797? shows "Thomas Jacklin" of Deenethorpe Lodge. Are there local history groups that hold information on dwellings etc?. Would appreciate it if someone could maybe point me in the right direction.
Many thanks Barbara

Hi Barbara4t.
Welcome to Rootschat.
There seems to be some information about Thomas here.
http://www.rootschat.com/links/06ki/ under FH4711
There is a large property called Deene Park at Deene which may have been associated with Deenethorpe Lodge as the village is only a mile away.

Also in answer to your question about Benefield it is also just down the road from Deene/Deenethorpe.
Sandy

Hi Sandy
Thanks for your assistance but, think this subject is going in the too hard basket for the time being I am going round in circles & getting nowhere. There is a place in Deenethorpe named "The Lodge" but it is a cattery & boarding kennels!! Back to the drawing board.

Hi Sandy
Thank you, I,m sure now that the Nthants record office is the only place to go for the info I,m looking for. I have records of 2 Gamekeepers licences 1785-1807. 1) 1785-1790 Thos Jacklins of Deenethorpe Manor:Deenethorpe. Appt by D.Montague. 2) 1791-1807 Thos Jacklins of Deenethorpe Manor:Deenethorpe. Appt by Rt.Hon.James Earl of Cardigan. This is probably Deene Park ??. Will look up some info on the "Earl". Cant find any history sites for Deenethorpe, only the airfield comes up. At least 3 generations of Jacklins lived in D.thorpe covering a span of a hundred years, maybe all the families worked at D.Park ?
Thanks again Barbara
