Marriage Fairstead Pre 1837

Does anyone have access to church records in Fairstead  between about 1835 and 1839(not sure which church).  If so could they check for details of the marriage between William Cook b.1811 (Shoemaker) and Hannah Williams b.1811.

Hi Allan  I will look up St Mary the Virgin records the church at Fairstead for you,not sure what to make of the IGI entry as always best to proceed with caution when dealing with the IGI,if the date was later and the GRO was up and running Fairstead would have been under the registration district of Witham so I will look at Fairstead and if I do not find them I will try Witham which is only a couple of miles away and a much larger place,still nice to know that Ancestry cannot answer all questions.

Hi Allan  looked up the records for Fairstead and did not find your marriage,so went with the second plan of looking at St Nicholas at Witham ,your pair married there.
William Cook bachelor of this parish married Hannah Williams spinster of this parish 17th August 1835.
I then had a look at baptisms,I found a George son of a Mary Cook Aug 1835,this parish clergy at this time did not put base boen or illigitamate,but it is safe to assume possible a sister of William gave birth,but I could find no baptisms for your couple it is possible that William moved around for work and so baptised children in other places.
