Hi
What year did your wifes grandmother marry? Your request does not give enough info
What was the grandmothers name and who did she marry? If you give a full picture we can understand better and follow what you are trying to find. I understand you are trying to find an address but it can be easier if you have aname to follow.
You know what you mean but we don't.
Hope this helps , so renter your info

Hi
Im going back to go forward you will understand.
So I can see everything correctly
1911 census shows all of what you said but it also states they had 11 children 6 still living and 5 have died... so we need to find the 5 children.I looked up the marriage you have given me a chapel wedding this is the registry info-
Daniel Williams = m= Margaret Jones 4th Qtr 1891 district Lampeter vol 11b page 72
Note: Llanybyther  comes under lampeter district and was transfered to Carmarthenshire in 1935
.
The problem with this part of Wales is Newcastle emlyn and area crosses from Cardiganshire and Carmarthenshire soit can be difficult to track families because you are dealing with 2 districts and counties.
Anyway
Because Daniel and Margaret married at the end of 1891 . They would have both been single -have tracked Margaret Jones do you want that info or have you found it?

If you look on the 1901 census
Rg13 p5144 f 52 p 2
address Llwynpiod Llanfair Glynogau north reg district Lampeter sub district Pencarreg
Daniel williams head 27 b 1874 carter for grocer b Llandewi brefi cardiganshire
Margaret wife 29 b 1872  Llanaybyther
daniel 2 b1899 Llanfair
Evan Henry 11mths  b llanfair
They must have had several children between the birth of Ann and Daniel.
I have found Ann on 1911 census

RG14 p33360
Railway Hotel llanybyther
Sarah Jones 51 Inn keeper b Llanybyther cardiganshire
John Lloyd Jones 23 Theological student Est Ch b Llanwenog
Jenny Jones 21 assissting in the buissness b llanybyther
Ann Williams 17 b 1874 domestic servant b llanybyther

If in 1911 they say
6 children are alive .

Poss siting of Daniel  1911 census
RG14 P 32392
2 East St Tylorstown Rhondda Glamorgan
Daniel williams Boarder Married b 1877 colliery repairer b Lampeter Cardiganshire
Men offed travel to the south wales vallies for work and you do see alot of men married and on thier own.
I started out to try and find these deaths but i think it will be difficult children where born and died either side of the census so many Williams. I did try to look at christenings but found none on LDS . Margaret and Daniel did marry in a chapel, could not see the chapel on line.
Only suggestion is to put a request out for that chapel someone might have able to look up.
I hope this has help a little and makes some sense?

Dear Haydon,

I'm not entirely sure whether 2 Porth (Porth House was No1) in Llanybydder or Llanybyther (known by both spellings) has been re-named or not.  But the area that it was in, is fairly close to the Market Place / Square.    Llanybydder itself is not that big, but it's not easy to describe where it is.

The way you get to there is, if you travel on the main road from Carmarthen towards Lampeter on the A485 and when you get to Llanybydder itself and get to the square.  You will need to turn left here on the B4337 - towards Llanwnnen or / and Llanwenog and it may also be signed Lampeter (B road).  You'll know when you get to the square as there's a cafe on the left, a stone pub on the right (I can't remember what it's called now), a post office just where you turn, and a war memorial the other way.  Once you're on this B road carry on down the hill and at the bottom of the hill you'll see the Black Lion Hotel in front of you and it's around this area somewhere.  Sorry I can't be more exact.

For information:  This part of Llanybydder is in Carmarthenshire.   Newcastle Emlyn is about 16 or 17 miles away.  Llanybydder itself is about 7 miles from Lampeter and about 9 miles from Llanfair Clydogau with Llanwnen being about 4 miles away.

I'm sorry I can't be more exact but hope this is of some help.

Regards, Alltcafan  Cheesy
