I am trying to get some details on the marriage between William Cook (b1811 in Witham) to Hannah  Huh? (b1811 in Ipswich)

Hannah was William Cooks wife as recorded in the 1841,1851 and 1861 Census. He was a Shoe maker.

Their first child was born in 1839 in Fairstead (Essex) which suggests that they were married around 1837/1838.

I thought I had the correct Marriage certificate which was dated 1839, but this stated that both bride and groom where MINORS. According to the above census`s they would both have been at least 28. I can find no other appropriate marriage records.

Anybody got any ideas

It is possible they married pre 1837, and therefore before Civil registration.

Getting a birth cert for a child will give you HAnnah's maiden name, and hopefully other names if shehad been married before,  and thus help in tracking a marriage
