New layout ancestry.co - help please
« on: Wednesday 08 July 09 12:18 UTC (UK) »

I came back from holiday to find ancestry.co had completely changed.

I have recently found that a twiglet or two on my tree are completely wrong and I need to remove those people.   Under the old system it said "remove this person" - can no longer find this.   Under the new "edit" system I am completely unable to erase them although now the information I have added shows they were dead before the events I am trying to erase - I go into edit and remove the citation - I then erase the information on the person but it just will not erase - I thought this change was supposed to make things easier.

Have tried to contact anc.co but this is just not possible.

I am sure it is something simple I have missed but would be grateful for help Huh

Bring up the profile of the person.  Click on the Edit this Person tab.

A panel will appear. At the top right of the panel, you'll see Delete [person's name]

Or, you can click on the tiny card by a person's name, this opens a small panel.  Then click on the pencil symbol, which opens Quick Edit.   At the bottom-right of this panel is an option to Delete This Person

My Goodness!   That was a quick response.
I knew I must be missing something somewhere.

Thank you so much.   Sue
