Fennell's in Hamilton, 1911C - Help please
« on: Friday 12 June 09 01:34 UTC (UK) »

1911C Hamilton East, Ward 8, page 25, lines 42 - 50 - shows our family......the last two children, William b. May 1908 and John b. Jan. 1910 are the stumbling blocks.  Their births do not appear to have been registered.  All of the others shown are now deceased and nobody in the family ever mentioned these two.  Would appreciate suggestions of where to look next.  Thanks.

Hi Smak,

You may want to contact the Hamilton Public Library for birth, Marriage, death notices put in the Hamilton Spectator newspaper. They would likely have copies of the Wentworth Co Ontario censuses and telephone directories to look for these people. Hope this helps.

Hi Smak,

I have family and ancestors in Hamilton as well. I have used Random Acts of Geneolical Kindness volunteers in Hamilton with success in the past. The website addy is http://www.raogk.org/. Also, you may want to contact the local cemetery systems administrators. Again, they have been very helpful to me.  The largestest system is the Hamilton Municipal Cemeteries run by the City of Hamilton, but there are some privately run cemeteries there too. Perhaps you can try these as well. Not sure why I didn't think of these earlier. Again, hope this helps you out.
