So you've joined us at the AA&D Club, Sue. Welcome!
I agree that we still need a reason for Louisa (nee Read) and Wm Wormald to be lodging with Wm and Ruth.
I gave the death record for Rose Sheppard because I supposed that Ruth and Rose could be the same person. Ages and places of birth tally. almost tally.
Bye for now.

Hi chaps ... Have I thanked you for your help? I really do appreciate it !
I've now got the marriage certificate for William Shepherd (sic) and Ruth Glenton. At least one surprise. And although Ruth's name is down as Glenton, she has signed as Ruth G. Lenton. So we were right about that. Here's the guts of it :
Parish of Holy Trinity, County of Hull 1844, April 7 William Shepherd, "of full age", Bachelor, Brick Maker, Lamb's Court, John Shepherd Labourer Ruth Glenton, "of full age", Widow, -, the same place, The Late George Read, Labourer. Signed William Shepherd his mark, Ruth G Lenton Witnessed - Richard Sherwood, Jane Richardson.
So William was a bachelor was he ?? Interesting also that William is down as a brick maker. His nephew James also was a brick maker at one time - in Potterspury, Northants.
I've sent for the Buckingham Ann Shepherd death. Struggling with conclusions till we have that !!
Cheers - Sue

Hello again Sue
Thanks for the update and Yes, you did indeed thank us for our efforts. It's just a shame we can't make immediate progress with William's possible first marriage (to Ann).
Please let is know what the death certificate says - although as I said it is a "long shot".
Best Wishes
Ivan
